  • Use templates to cut out candy box lid and bottom; cut on solid lines, score and fold on dotted lines. Make sure to fold accurately.
  • Unfold and decorate lid and bottom as desired. Be creative!
  • Apply glue to the tabs and glue to the inside of the end flaps. You will end up with two boxes almost the same size — the slightly larger one is the top!

Specific Instructions

  • Print and trace the template onto card stock. (I simply printed the template onto card stock using my printer.)
  • Cut out and decorate with stamps and inks, as desired. (A sponge was used to apply Galaxy Gold and Pearlescent Jade Brilliance pads onto the card stock. Then stamped with Graphite Black using two hand carved stamps.)
  • Punch holes where indicated.
  • Fold on dotted lines.
  • Glue side and bottom.
  • Fold top flaps over.
  • Tie ribbon through holes. (Used two pieces of turquoise organdy ribbon.)
  • Fill with candy. (Hershey’s Kisses or Jordan Almonds would be ideal.)

    Finished box measures 3 x 2 x 1.5

Specific Instructions

  • Print and enlarge or decrease the template to suit your needs. The template used as-is requires a piece of card stock that is approximately 8 x 8.
  • Cut on solid lines, score on dotted lines. Note the cutting line marked with an “A” on two of the flaps, (these will be used as the closure).
  • Decorate the box using stamps of your choice.
  • Fold along all of the dotted lines. Fold and glue the gussets (marked as “C”) on the outside of sides “B.”
  • Link the half ovals to close the box. (You can link them so that the oval is either in front or behind�try it both ways to see what you like.)

  • Tip: When cutting the box top, cut on the outside of the lines so that it is just a hair larger than the box bottom.
  • Print out templates and reduce or enlarge as desired. (The sizes indicated on the template are those of an actual match box)
  • Trace template onto card stock.
  • Cut all solid lines; score and fold all dotted line.
    Note: Make a note of the solid and dotted lines on the area marked “Tab” on the box bottom.
  • For the box top, apply adhesive to the tab and glue to the side marked with an “X.”
  • Decorate the box top.
  • Fold the box bottom in place to see how it goes together�the tabs will be folded under the flaps marked with an “X.” Apply adhesive to the tabs and carefully fold them under the “X” flaps. (This can get tricky, so be patient!)
