Color is great, more pearlescent than metallic

The icon on the website looks like the paper will be more metallic and sparkly than it actually is. It's actually a very pearlescent finish - it shimmers nicely in light, but doesn't sparkle. It is, upon receipt of the sample, a great, uniformly distributed color. It's that perfect shade of lavender that isn't bluish and isn't pinkish - it's just a nice, light shade of grape/violet. It's also a great gender-neutral color if you're wrestling with someone who thinks purple is too feminine.

I ordered this paper in text weight for my wedding programs. The color is somewhere between purple and lavender. It is just beautiful and shimmers so pretty. I am a comparison shopper and to buy 100 sheets of this paper in the local craft stores or any other website retails for $30 MORE per 100 sheets. What a great deal.
